Ferret Friends

Hey everyone! This week was one of the absolute fastest of my entire mission. Last night I looked at my companion Elder Gregerson and I was like "what the heck where did our week go?". The time just flew! We met a lot of new people, and we taught a ton of lessons. We were also able to put our friends Danniel and Yasmine on baptismal date. Please keep them in your prayers! Other highlights for the week = - Some random guy named Mycool stopped us so that he could talk to us, and when we tried to give him a Plan of Salvation pamphlet he struck a deal with us saying he would take it if he could play us a song. Then he played 4 songs. It was pretty epic, the songs were good 😂 - This gang of little kids on bikes were in the front of an apartment complex when we walked in, and they wanted to ride their bikes with us. They directed us to the apartment we were looking for, but we got to mob around with this huge group of kids for 20 minutes while we looked for the apartment. - I mad...

I'M GETTING A KID

Hey everyone! Sorry this email will be so short! Today was crazy! I'm getting transfered, but I'm just going down to whitewash the Southern half of our ward because they're moving the sisters who were there out. I'm also going to be training a new missionary! I'm super excited to meet my "kid", and we're going to get some good work done down there. I will still be in the same ward, which is way funny because it will be my 5th transfer in this ward. I pretty much live here now, so they should just give me a calling already. Also, Elder Ames and I found an awesome lady this week named Shirley who wants to get baptized! Please keep her in your prayers! Spiritual thought for the week: John 17:3 = And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. We can experience life eternal starting here on this earth! All we have to do is come to know our Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. We do thi...

Hey everyone! I honestly don't really know what to write in this weekly, so I guess I'll keep it short. Things were good this week! We got a ton of media referrals, which was super great. I think we had 4, and we were able to schedule lessons with them all. We also had some great lessons with our friends this week. The work is starting to roll out here in Richardson! We have a guy we've been teaching named Brian who's a absolute stud. He came to church on Sunday and after he told us that next fast Sunday he was going to go up and bear his testimony. I love that guy! He loves the Book of Mormon and has been reading a lot. Keep him in your prayers! Transfers are coming up this next week, so we will see if I'm going to a new area or not. I've been here for 4 transfers in my first area, so I may very well be moved, but my mission president loves to leave people where they are. We will see! I'm just hoping that whatever God wants for me, I can align my will with...

I Bought Another Cool Shirt This Week Because #impulsebuy

Hey everyone! This was a great week! We had a lot happen, so I'll just hit the highlights. - Our friends Kym and Rodney are on date for baptism now. Please keep them in your prayers! - We found an Arabic Book of Mormon and gave it to our friend Zaid and he is stoked to have it! He's been inviting his friends to meet with us and come to church with him. He's a beast! - We received a media referral under the name of Death Metal last week, and we totally thought it was a joke. Turns out his real name is Brian and he's really interested! We've been teaching him and he absolutely loves what we have to say. - We helped two members move out this week, so now we're in tight with not only our Elder's Quorum presidency, but the rest of the guys in the Garland 3rd ward as well. - We got bashed by a Buddhist guy during our weekly Donut Saturday tradition. That was really weird I really didn't understand what was happening. - We got soaked by rain during our ride h...

I Bought a Super Cool Shirt

Hey everyone! I hope everyone has been doing well! We got in a good week of biking on the snow, so my legs were pretty tired by the end of the week. Luckily all the snow we got from this winter storm melted, so we're back to biking on asphalt. Asphalt is a tender mercy. I'm so grateful for it! I don't have a ton to report on, but we had a great week! We had a lot of great lessons with our friends, and I've been letting everyone know that our goal is to baptize them. Some have laughed, but they have all taken it super well so far. I thought it would've been more awkward and people would've been more against working towards that, but so far everyone has been cool with the idea that we're trying to do that. We haven't put any of our friends on baptismal date yet, but they're definitely progressing! It's very fun to see. I love having a front row seat as I watch these people let the power of Jesus Christ into their lives. It is incredible! Being a m...

СНІГ 🥶 -- (SNOW )

Image
Hey everyone! So it's 9 degrees over here right now. Pretty epic. Never thought I'd be experiencing weather like this in Texas of all places, this is like some Ukrainian spring type stuff. Pretty excited! It makes for good drifting weather when we're riding our bikes and the rode is paved with only snow. Becuase of the storm, we have been asked to stay inside as much as possible, which is so hard because it's perfect for contacting because everyone is home because of it. When we do have to go out, we make the most of it and stop by a bunch of the people we're teaching because they literally cannot avoid us. No one here has any idea how to drive in the snow, so everyone refuses to leave their house. It's a blessing and a half! It's so fun to bike in too. This week we had some amazing miracles! I only have time to talk about one though, but it was amazing! We were biking to go knock on the door of one of our friends, and rode past our friend Denise's stre...

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well! I think about you guys a lot at random times (especially when I'm running on the treadmill in the mornings), and I just want you all to know that I love you all! Thank you for reading these emails that I send! I know the quality is oftentimes lacking, but thanks anyways for sticking with it haha! Well, onto the week! This last week was quite the experience. We had a lot of things planned, and then we didn't end up teaching our first lesson until Saturday. That was a bit of a rough go, but we made the most of it. We got lots of oppurtunities for service this week, so that's always great. We almost maxxed out our service time as well, so that was pretty cool. Honestly I'm thinking about the week right now and I really just don't have a lot to report on 😂. We're working hard, so I know we will see the fruits of our labors soon! That's something that's hard for me to grasp sometimes. God's timeline is so much...
