Exchange's

Image
Heyo! Man this last week just flew by. We had exchanges on Thursday which was awesome! It was with the Zl's, and I got to go into their area which was super fun. I loved it so much, and we got to teach three lessons and have a dinner appointment with the Bishop of their ward. The lessons were awesome, and the people that we taught were so cool. I'm stoked to try and get a teaching pool like the Zone Leaders, because they're super busy all the time. Honestly I know it'll probably come back to haunt me at some point but I really do just want to be busy all the time haha. We're pretty busy this upcoming week though, so I'm super excited! We've had some slow weeks as we've gotten into the area, just because we split and area with the sisters and took the half where there were no people they had been teaching. We've been working hard to call people and find those who are interested in hearing our message. We can't knock on doors or go anywhere without...

Our Neighbor's Backyard is Awesome

Calder Horsley Attachments Mon, Oct 19, 2020, 3:29 PM to me Heyo everyone! I hope you're all doing awesome! I don't have a ton of time to write this email, so it'll be shoet, but it was yet another wonderful week in the grand state of Texas. I'm getting peer pressured to vote every single time I talk to anyone, which I guess should be expected. Haha there are a lot of opinions out here, and people really like to make them known to us. Kind of awkward sometimes because we have to tell them "hey we can't talk about politics", but they're nice anyways. Between Jesus and politics, I think I'll always have something to talk to these people about. We had some awesome dinners with members this week, and they were so much fun! Getting fed by members is always great, especially when they give you stuff like ribs and ribs and also ribs and sometimes they switch it up with ribs. Haha, just kidding, we've had other food but we've had ribs a lot and ...

Gotta Catch Em All

Hey everyone! Week two has officially been completed! It was an awesome week haha. Things started getting competitive at the apartment when I whipped out the kendama and we started playing, and then elder Jones further stoked the fire when he pulled some Pokémon cards out of nowhere later in the week. We've been playing kendama and Pokémon pretty much every night after proselyting hours wheh we have time to get ready for bed, time to journal, or general free time, and it's been super fun. My journal is suffering, but I'm getting sort of good at the kendama so it's up to you decide whether or not that's a good trade. We've also gotten together a lot as a district and zone, and it's been way fun! We do a lot of car washes for free just to meet new people, and those have been great. One of the elders named Elder Goodrich and I got videoed by some random Jewish girls while we were washing their car, so that was kind of strange. We weren't super stoked abou...

TEXAS BABY

Hey everyone! I made it to Texas alive and well! I'm in the Richardson area, and I'm loving it! My trainer is named Elder Leonardson, and he's a pretty funny guy. We live with two other elders in a pretty great apartment, and it's been so fun! They are Spanish seeking elders, and their names are Elder Jones and Elder Ward. I love them they're super funny. We also had to break into our apartment twice so far, so yeah we're thriving if you can't tell. I also got here and found out I'm the same district as my friend from high school Crew Jensen. It's been way fun having him here, he's an awesome missionary. Our district is super cool, and I love everyone in it. Also, the weather here is amazing. It's sunny but not cook Elder Horsley alive hot, so that's a definite plus. It was super hard to say goodbye to my family on Monday, but I was so excited to get to Texas, so when I got here I was stoked! President and Sister Farley are the literal ni...
