Elder Calder Horsley

Hey everyone! It was a good week. Elder Berndt is helping me so much with my German, which is super awesome! He's a stud, and I've loved being companions with him so far. I'm stoked for General Conference coming up! Please go watch it this weekend! It's going to be awesome, and the opportunity to hear from a Prophet of God is incredible. We've been focusing a lot on finding new people to teach this week. I know when we act in faith, the Lord rewards our efforts! I've seen that multiple times this week! Hey everyone! So who would've though, but I'm training again! I've only been here in Germany for one transfer, so I'm kind of terrified, but I know the Lord is with me. Elder Palmer has gone to Koblenz, and he's an absolute legend. I hope to serve with him again someday! Now my companion's name is Elder Berndt! He's super cool, and he's from Berlin! I'm super excited to serve with him, and I can't wait to see what happens this transfer. Please pray for us! Haha I need to improve my German fast! I love you all! Hello! So I fell off of the face of the Earth last week, but I am still alive and still in Germany. Honestly, at the rate this is going, maybe I'll be in a different country next week. Who knows, we've got transfers on Saturday so I guess we will see what happens. We had a really awesome week! I don't actually remember what happened too well, but it was super good. Here are the highlights from what I do remember! - Haha our friend Cynthia who was going to get baptized moved to Belgium without telling us, so that was kind of wack haha. All good though, we're gonna get her hooked up with the missionaries over there! - Ifaz is doing super well, and we had an awesome lesson with him this week! We talked about how the Book of Mormon can answer our questions, and then he asked us all his questions and we answered them all using the Book of Mormon. It was super cool! - We invited Jana to be baptized in April, and she was like "no I want to get baptized in the summer...

Why hello there We had another super good week, and to top it all off, we are going to the temple today! I can't wait! The temple is such a cool place, if you haven't been in a while I 100% reccomend going ASAP haha. The German is coming along, and my Ukrainian is not dissapearing, so that has been nice. I snagged a Gospel Principles book from Ukraine before I left, so I read in there every day and that's been super helpful. I also get to speak Ukrainian almost every day, so that is nice. Please keep the Ukrainian people in your prayers! They need it, and I know God is with them. From what I've heard and know, they seem to be balling out on the battlefield, so kudos to them. This was another greet week in Germany! I don't have a ton of time today, so I'll hit the highlights. - Our friend Ifaz is a stud and is loving learning more about Christianity. HELLO! This week was so good! I'll hit all the highlights for y'all: - Cynthia is on baptismal date! It was such a cool lesson when we invited her, and the members are doing a great job fellowshipping her. She's stoked and can't wait for the date to come! - Oleg is low key trying to convert me to being a 7th day Adventist. He gave me this big book about the reformation in Russian, so can't say that I can read haha but it was a kind gesture. - Hassan ask so many good questions, and he arranged his work schedule so that he could come to church this week! Let's goooo! - We went and knocked an apartment complex last week, and a bunch of doors opened but didn't have any interest. We left a pass along card with one of the women who opened even though she was like "nope", and didn't think anything of it. Hello everyone! I know I haven't sent an email in a bit, but it's because the last bit has been insane haha! Leaving Ukraine, coming to Germany, and going to my area, and learning German has all been quite the ride. I've loved it though! I started out in a trio with Elders Simonson and Palmer, but with the recent transfer we just lost Elder Simonson. He's a legend, I will miss him. I'm staying with Elder Palmer though, which is epic! He's such a tank, we are having such a good time together and getting work done! He just finished his training, so we are having a fun time figuring out how to talk to people in German well. It's been wild 😂 I'm serving in an area called Offenbach, and it's so sick here. I love this place.
