Calder Horsley Attachments Mon, Oct 11, 2021, 3:10 AM to me Howdy folks, I love you all so much! I hope you had an awesome week! We had a pretty STELLER week out here in the Soviet paradise. We have some friends who are progressing super well, and we taught some great lessons. God is working miracles out here in Lviv! - Our friend Артем is a stud and has been reading the Book of Mormon. We asked him how he thinks he can prepare for his meeting with God after this life, and he goes "well I need to have faith, repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost". It was super cool, and we're going to invite him to be baptized this coming week! - The absolute unit of a man Андріан is also just balling out with the Gospel. He comes to church every week, and he comes to all the ward activities too. He's super eager to learn more, and we're going to invite him to be baptized this coming week as well! - Our guy Василь was sadly not able to be baptized this weekend because of logistical issues, but he's planning on being baptized soon. We have to set another solid date with him, but he really wants to be baptized, so there are no worries there. The man is plowing through the book Saints and absolute loves Jesus and His church. It's so cool to see. - ОЛЕГ GOT BAPTIZED AND CONFIRMED THIS WEEK! It was an incredible experience, and I had the opportunity to baptize him. I love that guy so much, and I can't wait to see how he continues to progress in the gospel! He loves Jesus and He knows that Jesus loves him, so I've got huge hopes for him. Now we've got to get him to the temple! I found these verses this week, and I love them. They are about baptism, and I invite you all to read them and think about what they mean for you. Mosiah 26:21-24 (21) And he that will hear my voice shall be my sheep; and him shall ye receive into the church, and him will I also receive. (22) For behold, this is my church; whosoever is baptized shall be baptized unto repentance. And whomsoever ye receive shall believe in my name; and him will I freely forgive. (23) For it is I that taketh upon me the sins of the world; for it is I that hath created them; and it is I that granteth unto him that believeth unto the end a place at my right hand. (24) For behold, in my name are they called; and if they know me they shall come forth, and shall have a place eternally at my right hand. I invite you all, if you haven't already, to be baptized and join the fold of Jesus Christ. And if you have already, I invite you to remember that covenant that you have made. Go to church! Partake of the Sacrament! Remember Jesus Christ, because He always remembers you. And if you need help, contact the missionaries! They're there to help you come unto Christ. Jesus has given us so many ways to grow in our conversion to Him, so pray to find out how you can do so! He will let you know, and as you take steps to build your relationship with Him, He will help you be happier. That's His whole entire plan for you. He wants you to be happy, because He loves your perfectly. I love you all too! Not quite as much as Jesus, but I'm working on it 😂 I hope you all have the very best week ever! NOVEMBER IS WARM HERE

Hey you guys! So apparently I say I will get better at emails and then I turns out I only save 10 minutes to write these emails. Sorry about it. This week is going to be a short email, but this week was pretty great! I'll just hit the highlights! - We have had some awesome member meals this week, which has been great! We got fed by the Gonzalez family on Sunday which was so good! They don't speak English though, so that was quite the experience. I said lo siento a lot. - IT'S NOVEMBER AND 78 DEGREES! I'm loving it. I'm missing the snow, but I'm loving the sun. Since I can't ski, I think I prefer the sun right now. - We found a bunch of new people we're really excited about this week. We're hoping that they keep progressing! We have a ton of meetings set up for this next week, so we're crossing our fingers that they don't fall through. - Our friend Klaus came to church! He wore a Bane mask, so I could understand about 0% of the words he said...

I Knocked My Tooth Out

Hey everyone! The title is completely factual. I was biking down a road pretty fast (because there is no reason to go slow on the Lord's errand) and I was thinking pretty deeply about a lesson we had that night. Next thing I know I was on the ground and missing a tooth. I got thwacked by a pole that had a box hanging of it in the middle of the sidewalk. Said pole had its metal box suspended directly at the head level of Elder Horsley. I'm all good though! I have some bruises, but it doesn't really hurt or anything. It just looks funny. It was absolutely epic. Then a guy ran across the street to "heal" me. He had a skull mask on and it was incredible. I'm all good now! There is no residual damage. Now for other highlights of the week! - Jeffrey is on date! We're so excited for him! He will be baptized at the end of May, so that's super exciting. - Freeman and Cornelius were both super stoked that the Law of Chastity was a thing, so that's always goo...

Hey Everyone! It literally feels like it has been one day since I sent out an email, except it has been a week and now I'm sitting here at my desk typing on a computer and wondering what on Earth actually happened during the last seven days. I know a ton of stuff happened, but now everything in the MTC is blurring together and I don't actually know what was this week or last week or next week or anything haha. All I know is that my time in the MTC is almost done! Next week is my last week that I will spend in the MTC, which is just insane to me! At the end of next week, I will have been a missionary for TWO ENTIRE MONTHS, which does not feel real. I'm so happy for my 9 weeks in the MTC, because they have been awesome. Honestly, at first I was really worried about it and I thought spending two months in the MTC was going to be pretty brutal, but I wouldn't trade this time for the world.
