"Come Get Your Cat"
Hey everyone!
I hope you an awesome week! I know that we did out here in North Dallas. I'll jump into the highlights!
- We had transfers this last week, and I'm staying here in my current area until I go to Ukraine! I'm so happy about it! This officially makes me the longest missionary to ever serve in this ward (as far as we know).
- We got someone added to our companionship, so now we're in a trio! It's me, Elder Gregerson, and Elder Hodges! I love both of those guys, and this last week has been the most fun week of my whole mission by far.
- We were in a lesson with Lincoln this week, and when we walked out someone's cat just ran into his apartment and hid under one of the couches. He was NOT happy about it 😂 he did a pretty good job of covering it up though. While we tried to cat wrangle he kept walking outside and telling random people "come get your cat". It was hilarious haha
- Lincoln also got baptized! It was such an incredible experience! Elder Gregerson baptized him, and it was so fun to be there. Lincoln was absolutely beaming afterward. Elder Hodges confirmed him on Sunday, and Lincoln was so excited. I love this ward!
- There was also one time where Elder Gregerson and I went to pet a dog that was lying on its back and then it decided it was going to pee on us because it was so excited we were petting it. His name was chunk. #wehatechunk
- We also had the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten on Sunday. It's called bitter kola, and our friend Abraham gave it to us to try. It was absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. We all had a bit of it, and we all decided it was terrible. Never eat bitter kola.
Well, each and every day I love Texas just a little bit more, and it is going to be so hard to leave Elder Gregerson and Elder Hodges, the Richardson Ward, everyone we are teaching, our district, our zone, President and Sister Farley, and literally just the Texas Dallas West mission in general. I love it so much! There is literally nowhere I would rather be. However, I take comfort in knowing that God knows me perfectly. He is aware of me, and also of everyone who He needs me to meet. I'm excited to go to Ukraine, and although there will be some super sad goodbyes, that just means that there will be some super hype reunions in the end.
Isaiah 41:10 = Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Jesus Christ is there to help us, and He is there to help me. Everything is going to be perfect in the end, and I am so happy about that. I cannot wait to go to Ukraine!
I love y'all so much! Have an awesome week, and remember that JESUS LOVES YOU!
