GOING FOR 4
Hey everyone!
Elder Ames and I had some crazy news during transfer announcements yesterday in that there was no news! We're both staying here in North Garland 3rd! We were both completely surprised, because we both for sure thought that I was going to be leaving. But I'm excited to be staying! After this transfer, I will have spent 24 weeks in this ward. I love all the members here, and I love everyone we're teaching too. I hope we can keep working hard and seeing success during these next 6 weeks! For other news this week, we don't really have that much. A lot of stuff fell through, which is always dissapointing. However, we still did get a lot of good contacts in, which is always fun. Hopefully it starts warming up so that we can talk to some more people outside! We did get to meet a super cool new friend this week named Alhaji, and I'm super excited about him. And if you remember our friend Denise who was not super excited we invited her to church a few weeks ago, we saw her last night and she said she's coming to church this next week without us even asking! IT WAS LEGENDARY! We did see a ton of miracles this week, which we always need. It's amazing to see how much God is watching out for us each and every day. I love Him so much. And it's so cool to feel His love for His children as we go about teaching them. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that God loves us. I say it every week but it's so true, and when we live worthy to have His Spirit with us we have the wonderful privilege to feel His Spirit work in us and testify of His love. I'm so grateful for the Holy Ghost. It's amazing to see the things God trusts us with as imperfect human beings. He trusts us to serve missions, to raise children, to listen to Him, and that is just crazy. God trusts us, and even if we don't believe in Him, He will always believe in us. How incredible is that?
Here's my favorite scripture I read this week =
22 And I answered him, saying: Yea, it is the love of God, which sheddeth itself abroad in the hearts of the children of men; wherefore, it is the most desirable above all things.
23 And he spake unto me, saying: Yea, and the most joyous to the soul.
- 1 Nephi 11:22-23
The love of God is the greatest thing in the world and is the most JOYOUS thing to our souls! And it doesn't go away! We are the ones who determine how much of that love we feel, because it's up to us to let Him in. Let that love into your life, and it will change you for the best!
I love you all so much, and I hope you have an amazing week! I'm so grateful for each of you, and thank you so much for all of your prayers. They help so much, and I want you to know that I love and miss you so much! I have the best family and friends in the world, that's for sure. Until next week!
