GOOD MORNING DAVID

Hey everyone! We had another great week this week! It was kind of weird because a lot of appointments fell through, but hopefully we can reestablish contact with our friends this next week. Please be praying for them! And please be praying for them to come to church! They have a hard time with that one, which makes Elder Horsley pull his hair out and pray so much because he just wants to help these people get into the celestial kingdom but they're like "actually nah". But it's OK! I have faith in all of them, and we're going to keep working with them to get them to make and keep commitments! But we'll get into the highlights of the week! - Apparently I'm a good target when it comes to random high schoolers asking for my phone number, considering it happened a couple of times this week. Always really awkward when I tell them I don't actually go to a private school and I'm dressed nice because I'm a missionary for my church. For some reason it always scares them off. - We taught Kim and Rodney the restoration this week and they loved it! It was incredible. The Spirit was so strong, and we hope we can get them coming to church and ask them about baptism in these coming weeks! I love those two! - We got free knives from some random guy in the park after I told him his jacket was cool. He had us come to his white van and get them. Maybe a risky play, but it worked out. - We went to an inactive recent convert's house on Sunday at like 8:30 AM, knocked on his door, and he walks out and says "I just woke up give me two minutes". He hauled to get ready and he grabbed his bike and we ran outside and hauled to church. Didn't even brush his teeth (#beastmode). We barely made it in time but we got there right as the meeting was starting! It was the first time we were able to get him to come to church in all of my time here, and we've been inviting him pretty much every single week. Now we're just going to go get him every Sunday. His name is David, hence the email title. I've been reading in the Bible a lot recently, and I did a Bible study this last Sunday, all about service. I read a lot about Jesus Christ and how He helps people and performs miracles. In every single one of the records of His miracles, they report that He performed the miracle "immediately" or that the recipient was blessed "immediately" after they asked for help and Jesus gave it. Jesus will always help us IMMEDIATELY! He knows what we're going through, and He's there to help us! He will never change, and He has always helped immediately, so He will help you just the same as He helped everyone in the New Testament. Ask for His help! He always wants to give it to you. I love you all so much! I hope you have an absolutely amazing week this week, because you all deserve it. Thank you for all your love, support, and prayers. I love you guys! Keep being amazing, and don't forget that GOD LOVES You! - Elder Horsley
