My Guy Rodney Has Got Some Teardrops

HEY EVERYONE! This week flew by! I guess I say that every time but it flies by every time and then at the end of each week I'm like "what the heck that lasted 5 minutes". I guess that's just how time goes out here. Oh well, what can you do. Time for the weekly info dump haha! 1) We met a super cool guy named Rodney this week. He's got 4 teardrops under his eyes and tattoos all over his face. The goal this week? Get a photo with him. He's so awesome! We met with him and his wife on Tuesday and they are so ready for the Gospel! Please be praying for them! They're awesome! 2) Our man Klaus is making progress! He didn't come to church this week, but we had an awesome lesson with him. We shared the Christ Child video with him, and it was so powerful. If you haven't seen it yet, GO WATCH IT! It's been my favorite part of the Christmas season so far. 3) I got to go on another exchange with Elder Jensen this week! LET'S GO! He's such a beast. Needless to say, we're going to be mobbing up at BYU when we both get home. We did a ton of service, and it was super awesome! I love that guy, and I always learn so much about being a great missionary when I'm with him. 4) We've been giving out free hot chocolate as a zone finding activity these past few weeks, and it has been awesome. My hands are so dry though 😂 every time I go outside I feel like my knuckle start bleeding. I should probably get on that. Drink some water. Use some lotion. Stop bleeding. That'd be nice. 5) I love being in Texas! The weather is super nice and it's DECEMBER! That is an absolute power move. It's cold sometimes, but for the most part it's warm. So that's nice. But, the German missionaries are all going back to Germany and Ukraine is like semi close to Germany so that's a super good sign. Hopefully the 'Kraine opens up soon! Everyone cross your fingers and such. This week, my spiritual experience may seem kind of dumb, but it meant the entire world to me. It was a super cold and gloomy day, and we had some service coming up the next two days. I was super bummed because I really wanted to be able to do some good service and help our friends out. So, that night, I prayed that the weather would get better. AND IT DID! I came out the next morning and there was not a cloud in the sky, and it's been that way since. It was such a simple thing, but I am SO GRATEFUL! God answers our prayers, no matter how small or insignificant we may think they are. So PRAY! PRAY EVERY DAY! God cares about what you have to say, even if it's "I want there to be not clouds in the sky please". Let Him know what you have to say! He loves each and everyone one of us infinitely, and I want each and every one of you to know that. I love you all so much, and I miss you everyday! Thank you for reading my emails! Hey you guys! So apparently I say I will get better at emails and then I turns out I only save 10 minutes to write these emails. Sorry about it. This week is going to be a short email, but this week was pretty great! I'll just hit the highlights! - We have had some awesome member meals this week, which has been great! We got fed by the Gonzalez family on Sunday which was so good! They don't speak English though, so that was quite the experience. I said lo siento a lot. - IT'S NOVEMBER AND 78 DEGREES! I'm loving it. I'm missing the snow, but I'm loving the sun. Since I can't ski, I think I prefer the sun right now. - We found a bunch of new people we're really excited about this week. We're hoping that they keep progressing! We have a ton of meetings set up for this next week, so we're crossing our fingers that they don't fall through. - Our friend Klaus came to church! I Knocked My Tooth Out

Hey everyone! The title is completely factual. I was biking down a road pretty fast (because there is no reason to go slow on the Lord's errand) and I was thinking pretty deeply about a lesson we had that night. Next thing I know I was on the ground and missing a tooth. I got thwacked by a pole that had a box hanging of it in the middle of the sidewalk. Said pole had its metal box suspended directly at the head level of Elder Horsley. I'm all good though! I have some bruises, but it doesn't really hurt or anything. It just looks funny. It was absolutely epic. Then a guy ran across the street to "heal" me. He had a skull mask on and it was incredible. I'm all good now! There is no residual damage. Now for other highlights of the week! - Jeffrey is on date! We're so excited for him! He will be baptized at the end of May, so that's super exciting. - Freeman and Cornelius were both super stoked that the Law of Chastity was a thing, so that's always goo...

Hey Everyone! It literally feels like it has been one day since I sent out an email, except it has been a week and now I'm sitting here at my desk typing on a computer and wondering what on Earth actually happened during the last seven days. I know a ton of stuff happened, but now everything in the MTC is blurring together and I don't actually know what was this week or last week or next week or anything haha. All I know is that my time in the MTC is almost done! Next week is my last week that I will spend in the MTC, which is just insane to me! At the end of next week, I will have been a missionary for TWO ENTIRE MONTHS, which does not feel real. I'm so happy for my 9 weeks in the MTC, because they have been awesome. Honestly, at first I was really worried about it and I thought spending two months in the MTC was going to be pretty brutal, but I wouldn't trade this time for the world.
